Dead Period

What a shall we say 'quiet' time of year for sports fans in the Queen City. The Reds are terrible and the NBA draft doesn't concern us. All we have is the Deveroes summer league and pre-season pro and college football. High school football is right around the corner also. Personally I can't wait!! Go Bengals, Wittenberg and the Wyoming Cowboys.

Homermania

It is vitally important that the starving Cincinnati Reds fans don't expect to much of this young man. Be patient and let him learn how to pitch to the best hitters in the world, every night on the mound. We all know that a team as bad as the Reds has numerous good major league hitters so all the other teams do also. Let him grow into his stardom.

D-e-e-efense

Defense wins championships and San Antonio has the best defense. Cleveland seems to have the second best "D", but nobody knew this until the playoffs. I am one of the few who has given the Cavs credit for understanding how important the defensive end of the court becomes in the playoffs. It is just too bad that S.A. has known and applied this principle for years.

NBA

It is sometimes amazing the expectations of the casual fan. Did anyone seriously think that Cleveland could beat a team of S.A. caliber, in the Cavs first final, on the road. Stop being so negative and reflect on some history. I remember one short year ago when Dallas was obviously no match for Miami. Or after two games the people cried that no Eastern Conference team could hang with the best from the west. I'm not saying that the Cavs can win a single game against the Spurs, but just wait before you write the NBA off for the season. There are at least two games left to establish some magic and some memories.

Josh Hamilton

Do you think that Josh Hamilton has come back to earth? Maybe now management can make a better accessment of the teams' needs and finally improve the bullpen. Bring back Encarnacion. They need him to get better at the major league level, that's where confidence should be built.
